I’ll start with the beach since it was the biggest complaint both on Trip Advisor and among guests on the resort (seriously, even a random taxi driver brought it up). There is some construction going on next door as Sandals looks to expand the resort as well as build a seawall, but it didn’t impact our trip. I expected some growing pains with the new resort given the wide array of reviews on Trip Advisor.
I read every trip advisor resort from the time the resort opened in January in preparation for the trip. We chose Barbados in part because we were traveling in August and Barbados is less likely to be impacted by hurricanes than other Caribbean islands. We also love that scuba diving is included.
